ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Tuesday said that parliamentarians from all the political parties are unanimous to protect the parliament, democracy and constitution at all cost.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House here, he said, a group of thousand people cannot decide the fate of 18 million people.
He said people representatives had been elected by 4 million people and group of some people want to decide their fate which is unfair.
The Minister said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chief had made a promise of not entering into the red-zone but now he is breaching his commitments.
The government is constantly trying to engage Pakistan Awami Tehreek and PTI in negotiations but so far all such efforts have remained futile.
He said the protesting parties should not do politics on dead bodies and open doors for dialogue for the sake of the country.
The Minister said he personally approached Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr Arif Alvi and Asad Umer for talks. He said by entering into the red-zone what kind of message they want to give to international community that Pakistan is an unsafe country. He said marchers are playing with sovereignty of the country.
He said it is unfortunate that PTI and PAT are not believing on Parliament and Supreme Court. He urged PTI and PAT to open the doors for the negotiations as solution of the issues can be find out through talks.
Saad Rafiue said that objectionable languages against leadership of Pakistan Muslim League is regrettable.
