LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Complaint Cell Friday took notice of a press report on administrative side that two alleged outlaws killed during police raid.
The cell has directed the district and sessions judge Lahore to look into the matter and submit a detailed report within a week.
According to details, CIA Model Town police told that Shahnawaz of Deepalpur was taken into custody in connection with a robbery case in Liaqatabad a few days ago who disclosed that his accomplices were hiding at a house near Mayo Wali Pulli.
Police took him to the venue for identification but as police made an announcement, asking the outlaws to surrender, they opened indiscriminate fire which left Shahnawaz dead on the spot. The retaliatory police fire also killed one of the attackers while others managed to escape.
The dead outlaw was identified as Baber of Bank Stop, Chungi Amar Sidhu. Police claimed the gang was involved in some 25 cases of heinous crime, including robbery.
