BANNU: Police on Wednesday foiled a big act of terrorism by defusing three bombs in Miryan area of Bannu.
According to police sources, three bombs planted at different places in Miryan area of Bannu district were defused by the bomb disposal squad (BDS).
Bombs were recovered from three different places at Miryan. Police said one of the bombs was planted at a school, another at Sardar Yusuf Khan’s Hujra (sitting room) and the third one beside a road.
Police said that Police timely reaching the scene foiled an act of terrorism by defusing three bombs. BDS has defused all three bombs safely, police said.
The security forces cordoned off the area soon after the incident.
A search operation was also underway in this regard. However, no arrest was reported till the filing of this report.
