Tax machinery shake-up: 23 senior officials transferred, posted

ISLAMABAD: In a major reshuffle in tax machinery, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has transferred and posted 23 senior officials of Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service (BS-20/21) with immediate effect.

In this connection, the FBR has issued a notification here on Friday.

According to the notification, Muhammad Anees (Pakistan Customs Service BS-21) has been given new assignment as FBR Member Enforcement. Mustafa Ashraf Tabassum (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) Chief Commissioner, Large Taxpayers Unit, Lahore has been transferred and posted as FBR Member, (Taxpayers Audit).

Khawaja Tanveer Ahmad (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office II, Karachi has been posted as Director General, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Karachi. Ansar Javed (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21), Director General, Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Islamabad has been given new assignment as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Large Taxpayers Unit, Lahore.

Muhammad Raza Baqir (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) Member, (OPS) Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad has been transferred and posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office II, Lahore.

Shahid Hussain Jatoi (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) Chief Commissioner, (OPS) Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi has been posted as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, (OPS) Regional Tax Office II, Karachi. Rehmatullah Khan Wazir (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) awaiting Posting has been given new assignment as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi.

Shahid Nasim (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) Director General, (Withholding Tax Wing) Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad has been posted as Director General, (Special Initiative) Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad (Station at Lahore.).
