CJP's staff member tests positive for coronavirus

• The staff member identified as Ahsaan tested positive for the disease.
• The patient had been suffering coronavirus symptoms since last week and had been on leave.
• Corona tests of the chief justice and his family were conducted that turned out to be negative.

(Karachi) A staff member of Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed has been infected with coronavirus, media reported on Tuesday.

As per details, the worker identified as Ahsaan, tested positive for the disease. He had been suffering coronavirus symptoms since last week and had been on leave. After receiving his coronas test report, tests of the chief justice and his family were also conducted. The test results turned out to be negative.

Meanwhile, tests of other judges and staff members working in Islamabad Registry have also been carried out.

So far, there are 5, 782 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country while 96 deaths have been recorded. At least, 1,378 patients have recovered from the disease.

More than 1,500 cases have emerged in Sindh, 2, 826 in Punjab, 800 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 231 in Balochistan, 131 in Islamabad, 233 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 43 cases in Azad Kashmir.
