ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Friday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was pleading the case of Kashmiris at all international forums as their advocate, ambassador and spokesman.

Addressing youth convention of a school system here, the Special Assistant said that during his visit to Riyadh he had apprised the Saudi leadership about Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and next week he would address the United Nations General Assembly to expose Indian atrocities in Kashmir.

She said that India had virtually converted occupied Kashmir into world’s largest prison, Kashmiris were cut off from rest of the world having no telephone, internet facilities, facing acute shortage of medicines and eatables.

She said that entire Pakistani nation was standing behind hapless, besieged, imprisoned and repressed Kashmiris who have been struggling for their inherent right to self-determination for past seven decades.

The SAPM said that she was touched by the tableaus presented by the students on the situation in occupied Kashmir and she believed that they gave performance from their hearts. She said that educational institutions had great role in nation building process and the future of the nation was in safe hands.

She said that the Kashmiri children had been denied their fundamental human rights, religious, democratic and freedom of speech. Appreciating the role of Armed Forces of Pakistan, she said that they were ready to foil any misadventure from the enemy and nation was standing behind them.

She urged the civil society to come forward and highlight the Indian excesses in IoJ&K. She lauded Pakistani media for highlighting Indian repression and atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
