DG ISPR warns India against any misadventure, says will give stronger response than Feb 27

Warning India against any misadventure, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said that Pakistan will give an 'even stronger' response than it had on February 27.

On Thursday, the DG ISPR responded to a video of the Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon. The lieutenant in his statement claimed that Pakistan and Pakistan Army have always been involved in disrupting the peace in Kashmir Valley. He added that he believes that Pakistan is good enough to do it and the statements which have come up with them openly 'threatening' about certain incidents in the Valley.

"Notwithstanding we will take care of all of them, let anyone come and try and disrupt the peace in Valley, we will have him eliminated," he further said in this statement.

The DG ISPR termed the statement of Dhillon as 'usual blatant lies'. He added that it was an attempt to carve out causes 'belli for a misadventure to divert world attention from precarious situation and atrocities in Indian occupied Kashmir'.

"While IoK faces media blackout, Azad Jammu and Kashmir is open to foreign media and United Nations Military Observers group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to visit place of their own choosing. Can you do same?" the DG ISPR questioned.

In another tweet, the DG IPSR warned India that Pakistan Army would give even stronger  respond than that of February 27. "Thousands of Indian troops have failed to suppress just struggle of brave Kashmiris for decades. Current surge won’t succeed either," the DG ISPR added.

Tensions have soared between Pakistan and India this week since the latter decided to abrogate the special status given to IoK. The neighbour has also shut off communications, including internet, cellphone and landline networks in occupied Kashmir. The government has also deployed more troop to the already heavily militarised region.
