Tajikistan will increase its cotton sowing area by 19 percent to 190,000 hectares this year, the country's agriculture ministry said on Wednesday. Tajikistan harvested 270,000 tonnes of raw cotton last year, a 27 percent drop from the previous harvest. It exported $145 million worth of cotton fibre in 2015.
