Most of the commodities were lower on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai low type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2750 and superior quality also lost Rs 75 to Rs 2775, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said. On the cereal sector, Masoor Canada low type was down by Rs 100 to Rs 9500 and the best quality was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 9600, Masoor Dall Canada followed same pattern, inferior type shed Rs 200 to Rs 10400 and the good quality dropped by Rs 300 to Rs 10500, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh slid by Rs 30 to Rs 2930 and Rs 2975, other types were inert due to lacklustre attitudes by buyers, they said. On the seeds front, castor seeds Lasbela dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 2000, castor seeds Sindh and Lakhra, however, picked up the same amount to Rs 2100, cotton seeds oilcake with bag Sindh new was unmoved at Rs 2000 while best quality was lower by Rs 30 to Rs 2050 in the slow trading, they added. Prices were unchanged on the grams side, dealers said.
