ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar called on President Mamnoon Hussain here at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.
The President felicitated Lt General Rizwan Akhtar on his appointment as the Director General ISI and wished him well in the discharge of his new responsibilities, said a statement from the President House.
President Mamnoon expressed confidence that professional expertise of Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar would provide an impetus to further strengthening the intelligence apparatus and defence of the country.
Current security situation and professional matters also came under discussion during the meeting.
