imageFRANKFURT: German engineering group Siemens said it did not expect to book charges due to a further delay to the construction of Finland's Olkiluoto 3 nuclear reactor.

"As our risk provision for the project Olkiluoto 3 already took uncertainties in the project schedule into account, we don't see the need for adjustments triggered by the new schedule," Siemens said in a statement on Monday.

A consortium of France's Areva and Siemens earlier said the Olkiluoto 3 reactor would be delayed until late 2018, prompting a disgruntled statement from its client Teollisuuden Voima (TVO).

Siemens had booked 152 million euros ($200 million) of charges in its financial year ended September 2012, and 87 million in the year before.
