ISLAMABAD: Senator Col Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi (Retd) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) said on Tuesday that Iran is a shining example of brave and wonderful nation in the world.
Talking to IRNA Senator Hussain Mashhadi congratulated the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rohani on his victory in election.
"I congratulate Rohani on behalf of people of Pakistan and my party Muttahida Qaumi Movement," he said.
The political leader said messages of facilitations to President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the world show that Iran is a powerful state and different countries are interested in having strong relations with Iran.
He added that Iran has taught the democratic system to the world by holding democratic elections.
The Senator expressing his views said that Iran is not only a country but an ideology. "Iran is an excellent example of resistance to western dominance and a highly respected nation," added the politician.
He pointed out that Iran is a trend setter and different countries of the world are looking towards Iran. "Irrespective of the western treatment Iran is a united nation," he said.
He also hailed the statement of Iran's newly-elected president Hassan Rohani that Iran would continue to develop strong relations with neighbours and regional states.
Senator said that Iran holds an important position in the region and strong relations with the Islamic Republic is in the interest of regional states.
He said that future of Iran under the presidency of Hassan Rohani is very bright. He prayed for the stability and prosperity of Iran.
