KARACHI: On Tuesday until end of mid day, KSE-100 Index remained positive since market opening and was at 14,409.38 with a positive change of 29.84 and volume of 35,575,108 shares. High and Low were 14,435.73 and 14,379.54 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 43,163,632 shares with 287 total traded companies out of which 161 were up, 106 were down and 20 were unchanged.
Construction and materials sector was in the lead with a total traded volume of 11,358,805 shares and D.G. Khan Cement as leading company in that sector (6,924,428 shares) followed by Chemicals sector with a total traded volume of 7,303,044 shares and Fatima Fertilizer as the leading company in that sector (1,507,638 shares).
The three top traded companies were D.G. Khan Cement with a volume of 6,924,428 and price per share of 43.61 (0.15), Engro Foods with a volume of 4,551,611 and price per share of 72.11 (1.33) and Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. with a volume of 3,332,540 and price per share of 14.31 (0.07).
The top three advancers were Unilever Food with price per share of 2,848.00 (98.07), Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 1,120.00 (47.83) and Unilever Pakistan with price share of 7,350.00 (47.50).
The top three decliners were Island Textile with price per share of 208.12 (-10.95), Sapphire Fiber with price per share of 118.00 (-5.48) and Javedan Corporation with price per share of 84.00 (-4.27).
