JAKARTA: Indonesia's auto sales in November dropped 18.4 percent from a year earlier, the third straight monthly decline, as demand eased after a hike in fuel prices, data from industry association Gaikindo showed on Monday.
On a monthly basis, sales also fell 13.4 percent compared with a 2.6 percent increase in October.
Rupiah depreciation also weakened demand for completely built up (CBU) cars.
In November, Toyota Motor Corp led sales, followed by Daihatsu Motor Co Ltd, and Honda Motor Co Ltd .
Auto sales are a key indicator of domestic consumption, which accounts for more than half of Indonesia's economy.
