PESHAWAR: An American national Aaron Mark DeHaven has been arrested from Peshawar’s University Town on Friday under the Foreigners’ Act and has been sent to jail on a 14 day remand AAJ TV reported on Saturday.

Sources reported that he hails from Virginia and has been associated with a private firm, Catalyst Services in Islamabad, which rents buildings for American citizens in the area.

His visa had expired on the 22nd of October 2010. He was rejected an extension.

Aaron, who married a local girl, claims to have converted into a Muslim and is referred to as Haroon. He was living in Falcon Colony near Tehkal.
