KARACHI: Grammy-winning pop star Beyonce is stepping behind the camera to direct, produce and star a behind-the-scenes documentary based on her personal and professional life, US cable channel HBO announced on Monday.

The feature-length film will be a mix of her concert footage, confessional interviews; footages which she shot herself with her laptop along with behind-the-scenes coverage of her preparing for live shows and running her production company.

The documentary will also focus on Beyonce's childhood in Houston, her career as a singer and actress, and her life as a wife to Jay-Z and mother to Blue Ivy.

Beyonce is also an award-winning journalist, a sandcastle inhabitant, a political-fund-raiser host, a wife to recording artists, a multiple Grammy winner and a sometimes actress. She has also been entered into the list of Forbes' World's highest paid musicians at the 18th spot in 2012.

The documentary will be broadcast on February 16, next year on HBO, thirteen days after her much-awaited Super Bowl half-time performance.
