The Young Leaders Conference (YLC), which has been running since 2002, has entered its 13th successful year. The conference has consistently aimed to provide the country’s youth with the information and guidance to transform their lives for the better and to aid them in securing a brighter future.
This year YLC held its opening day on September 11 and will continue till September 15, 2014. The organisers of YLC are expecting this year’s event to be 'bigger and better' than any other year. The guest speakers expected to address the event include, Faisal Sabzwari Minister Youth Affair, Shoaib Siddiqui Commissioner Karachi, Sharmila Farooqui, Shahzad Roy, Fahad Mirza, Javed Jabbar, Amin Gulgee and Asma Mustufa Khan.
YLC is a venue where participants have been guided to address and to tackle the numerous challenges and hurdles that might lie ahead in their respective careers. Participants are introduced to the realities and responsibilities faced by the average Pakistani citizen and the nation as a whole. The experience is tailored to enable it’s participants to assess their inner strengths and talents as well as how such skills can be used for the betterment of our society and economy.
The major objective of YLC is to foster and support the nation’s future leaders. Five days in-house training sessions and workshops are provided in order to implement these objectives. Notable figures from various fields impart their wisdom and experience on to the next generation of Pakistani leaders.
