Pakistani model/singer Ayyan was arrested on Saturday on Islamabad airport for smuggling large sum of money to Dubai. She is however spending a comfortable life in jail.
As per local media reports, Ayyan has been provided a room of her own in the ladies barracks of the jail, as well as a female helper who cleans and fetches meals. Her room in the jail includes a charpoy for her to sleep on. All inmates at Adiala jail are allowed to send for food, and Ayyan is no exception. She is being provided food and water from outside the jail.
Famous Pakistani model Ayyan refused to eat food served in accordance with the jail menu. The authorities provided her with fresh juices and biscuits. Moreover, on Sunday she kept on asking the jail officials to give her updates of the Pakistan-Ireland cricket match, Dunya news reported.
Two days back, Ayyan was arrested from Benazir International Airport after custom officials found $500,000 currency notes during the checking of Ayyan luggage when she was about to leave for Dubai. The case was lodged against the accused under Custom Act and the model was presented before Special Judge Custom who sent her to 14-day judicial remand.
