According to Mid-day.com Salman Khan’s office has issued a warning to Bollywood director-writer Muazzam Beg of a legal action in the wake of using the superstar’s name in a documentary.
The 35-year-old director was shooting a documentary on Sanjay Dutt and Khan to show how fame influences them.
But the production on the documentary has been halted after receiving a warning notice via email from Khan’s office.
Mid-day.com quoted a source close to the actor as saying, "We first emailed him asking him to refrain from using Salman's name to promote his film. But he continued despite our mail, so we then wrote him that we would take legal action."
Confirming the production has been shelved, Mid-day.com quoted Beg as saying, "I have shot 30 per cent of my film and had invested around R50 lakh in the project. My film was going to tell a die-hard Sallu fan's story and it would have been great if I could make the film. But I won't be doing so now."
