ISLAMABAD: Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Miftah Ismail has said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government presented a balance budget and provided relief to the common man.
The government had allocated a huge amount for farmers, construction of motorways and education, health and others sectors in the budget, he said this talking to PTV.
He said the PML-N government had allocated a hefty amount for farmers and curtailed sales tax besides duties on agricultural equipments and others.
Miftah Ismail said the budget deficit was 8.2 percent in 2013 but it declined now to 4.2 percent due to prudent policies of the PML-N government.
He said exports had increased as compare to the past and the situation would be improved in coming months.
Efforts would be made for increasing investment and savings in the country, he added.
