Pakistan opening batsman Nasir Jamshed, and the main accused involved in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal has decided to challenge the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Jamshed has also asked the cricket board to keep him out of investigation until the UK's crime investigation agency concludes its inquiry against him.

"Basically Nasir has informed the Board through a legal response that he will be contesting the charges laid out against him in the notice sent to him earlier," a source in the PCB said, quoted Press Trust of India (PTI).

Despite being called the main character in the PSL spot fixing scandal, Jamshed has not been available for questioning to PCB officials as he resides in the UK.

However, weeks ago PCB charged Jamshed for refusing to cooperate in and obstructing its anti-corruption investigation.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has… issued a Notice of Charge to Nasir Jamshed for violation of Articles 2.4.6 and 2.4.7 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code requiring him to respond within 14 days,” said a statement by PCB.

Jamshed, is also being questioned by the UK's national crime agency, and has been allowed to extend his bail to June 21 in London.
