PESHAWAR: Member Provincial Assembly, Akbar Hayat Khan on Friday said that evolving a broad based political consensus on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC) project at All Parties Conference (APC) was a great achievement of the present elected government.
In a statement here, the PML-N leader said credit for this goes to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his team for evolving a broad based political consensus and removing the concerns of opposition parties on this great project.
He said CPEC was lifeline project that would benefit people of all the provinces, adding it would help our country achieve the dream of becoming a developed country and asian tiger.
The MPA said the gigantic project would not only help economic growth of Pakistan, but would also benefit masses of all the four federating units, Gilgit Baltistan and regional countries.
He said a handful of elements would not be allowed to make such projects disputed, adding such elements did not want to see the country make progress and its people become prosperous. He said the successful APC has passed a strong message that we all are united for progress and prosperity of the country.
Akbar Hayat lauded the support and commitment showed by the leaders of all the political parties for the completion of the corridor project.
