kohat HANGU: As many as eight persons killed and 23 injured when an explosive material ripped in a shop at Kalaya, area of Orakzai Agency here Friday. According to Political Administration, unknown miscreants planted Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a shop and later detonated it.

The explosion killed eight persons and injured 23 others besides damaged two shops into rubble. Soon after the incident political administration rushed to the spot and started rescue activities.

The injured were shifted to Headquarters Hospital and security forces cordoned off the area to start search operation.
