ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has assigned the task to Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to hold a meeting with Tehrik-e- Minhaj ul Quran chief Dr.Tahirul Qadri to persuade him to call off the long march.
Dr. Qadri on request of MQM's Chief Altaf Hussain had agreed to meet Rehman Malik and the meeting was likely to be held during the next couple of days.
Sources said that Rehman Mailk during his recent meeting with Altaf Hussain in London, had requested the MQM Chief to convince Dr. Qadri to hold a meeting with him.
