SAKE: Congolese army troops headed to Goma on Monday to take over the key mining hub after rebels pulled out of the city in line with a regionally-mediated deal.
Dozens of trucks filled with soldiers left an army camp some 30 kilometres (20 miles) from Goma, according to an AFP reporter. A senior army officer said that in all a battalion was headed to the main city in the mineral-rich Kivu region.
