MOSCOW: Russia's consumer price inflation will have exceeded 16 percent by the end of February, a senior Finance Ministry official said on Wednesday.
"It should be noted that a key role in the increase of the inflation rate played one-off factors: a sharp decline in the rouble's real exchange rate and the effect on the prices of foodstuff from foreign trade restrictions," Maxim Oreshkin, the ministry's head long-term strategic planning, wrote on its Facebook page.
