Another England cricketer Tim Bresnan has expressed his displeasure and warned the visiting Pakistan team that it was not necessarily a good thing to celebrate on a ‘grand scale’ and ‘it may come back to haunt them in the future’.
The 31-year-old England all-rounder took to his official account Twitter and said,
Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq had celebrated in similar fashion on day- one after reaching a hundred that helped set up his team's 75-run win and then Pakistan celebrated their victory over England in the first Test at Lord's on Sunday by performing a series of press-ups
Earlier, England test captain Alastair Cook also said that he will use the memory of the Pakistani team’s celebration as motivation ahead of the second test, which starts from Friday at Old Trafford.
