imageEarlier this week following their ODI series loss against England in UAE, Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has raised his confidence that there was nothing wrong in the third ODI match which raised match fixing claim.

Few days back, Former England captain Michael Vaughan had raised doubts over Pakistan’s performance in the Sharjah match with tweets which were later deleted. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan criticized Vaughan for his tweets. "I think he has given a very wrong statement," said Khan on Friday. "It's very wrong and it's necessary to give our reaction and we will raise this matter with the ICC. Although he later deleted those tweets, but the damage was done”.

Responding to these claims, former fast bowler Waqar said that there was ‘nothing wrong’ with that game and maintained that the defeats are part and parcel of the game. He added that he had no doubts about his players, The Guardian reported.

According to local media reports, Waqar Younis said, Pakistan’s defeat in Sharjah had been unfortunate. "I'm very clear about the Pakistan team. Yes, we lost the game. You lose and win games, and its unfortunate the way the whole thing happened but I have no doubts in my players and I am very satisfied,” he added.

England had clinched the four-match ODI series 3-1 against Pakistan following their 84-run win in the final match.
