imageBRISBANE: Australia beat India by four wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the four-match series at the Gabba on Saturday.

The Australians won with a day to spare after paceman Mitchell Johnson tilted the balance with a devastating spell of three wickets for 10 off 11 balls to put the skids under India's second innings.

India were dismissed for 224 to leave Australia with the task of 128 runs for victory.

They made heavy weather of it, losing six wickets, but they will take a 2-0 series lead to the third Test, starting in Melbourne on Boxing Day.
