imageHYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court here Tuesday deferred the hearing till August 12 in a petition filed by an influential person whose residence in Nawabshah was raided on June 28 by a team of National Accountability Bureau.

In the urgency plea filed by the petitioner Ali Hassan Zardari on July 9, he pleaded the SHC Hyderabad Circuit Bench to allow him a foreign visit on health grounds.

During the hearing, the counsels of NAB, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Rangers informed the court that they had not received copy of the petition and that they request for time to prepare the reply. In view of their request, the SHC fixed the hearing on August 12 and ordered the NAB, FIA and Rangers to submit reply.

Zardari during the previous hearing informed the court that he was suffering from hepatitis C and his London, UK, based doctor had given him an appointment for July 13 and for that he had to reach the UK by July 12.

On June 28 a team of NAB's officials and Rangers raided the residence of Zardari in Nawabshah district and reportedly recovered 7 foreign donated ambulances which were being used as the passenger vehicles. The ambulances were donated after the 2011 flash floods.
