MULTAN: Former prime minister and PPP central leader Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that PPP was in support of special courts in case government make some amendments in constitution in this regard.
While addressing the workers at 7th death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto here at Multan Arts Council, Gilani stated that PPP always considered war against terrorism as a war of our own country. He added that all the parties had admitted the PPP's view point in this regard.
He paid tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto over her services for the depressed segment of the society and for the restoration of democracy in the country. He claimed that BB forced a dictator to remove uniform and hold general elections in the country.
Gilani added that BB was an internationally recognised leader. The philosophy of PPP would help ending terrorism, extremism and other problems of the country, he said.
About the decisions in APC, he informed that PPP always stood with other parties in APC.
PPP South Punjab president Mukhdoom Shahabuddin also paid rich tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto over her services for the nation, democracy and the country. He further said that BB even sacrificed her life for the protection of rights of poor.
Local PPP ex-parliamentarians, PPP district representatives and large number of party workers were also present.
