KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying containers and iron ore were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and IOCB Terminals respectively on Wednesday, Jan 22.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to offload containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the Port on Thursday where total number of six ships namely CGM Puccini, Alexander, Florida II, M.V Lion, Arrilah-1 and Topaz-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, urea and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 62,740 tonnes, comprising 39,945 tonnes imports and 22,795 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1782 containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
CGM Puccini and M.V Alexander sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.
