LAHORE: Federal Minister for National Regulations and Services, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that it is need of the hour to promote harmony among all religions.
Addressing a prize distribution ceremony at Iranian Culture Centre here on Thursday, she said that profane movie was a conspiracy to test the tolerance of Muslims all over the world.
Dr Firdous said that Muslims community needs a leadership which work according to the teachings of Islam.
She said that all forums should be used to register protest adding that the people should protest peacefully without damaging their own property.
She said that "We have to counter the conspiracies of blasphemous acts through sensible behaviours and keeping our sentiments in full senses".
The Federal Minister said that languages make strong relations so language should be promoted for stronger ties between the both countries. Iranian Culture Centre Director General Dr Abbass Famori speaking on the occasion said that it was important to develop people to people relation to strengthen ties of both sides.
He said that Muslims should follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). He thanked all the universities and schools for participating in different competitions and for their cooperation.
Later, the prizes and certificates were distributed among the children who got positions in different competitions.
Ali Raza Kazmi, Pir Syed NoBahar and Taiba Bokahri also spoke on the occasion.
