ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Thursday said that the Friday's Hajj balloting has been cancelled for ensuring transparency.
In a statement he said new dates of balloting will be announced in light of Supreme Court's orders.
According to details the Supreme Court has ordered the ministry to refrain from issuing results of balloting on Friday. But the minister has decided to cancel balloting till decision of Supreme Court.
The new date of balloting will be announced in the light of Supreme Court's decision.
According to ministry 280,617 applications have been received and 83,440 pilgrims will be selected through a transparent balloting.
