89 including 50 POs nabbed

MULTAN: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested 89 criminals including 50 proclaimed offenders (POs) during a crackdown across the district.

According to police, the police teams conducted separate raids at various locations and arrested 50 POs who were wanted by the police in different cases of dacoity, robbery and other crimes.

Police have also apprehended 16 drug peddlers, six illicit weapon holders and 17 gamblers besides recovering 120 liter liquor, 2.703 kg hashish, a clashincove, a carbine, four pistols and bullets from them.

Separate cases have been registered against the accused.
