RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Mian Humayun Parvez has urged the government to pursue alternative and renewable energy projects to meet the growing power requirement.
Talking to APP, he said Pakistan was facing energy crisis, which could only be met by exploring renewable energy solutions such as solar, wind and coal.
A clean and cheap energy, he said, was the need of the hour.
He said the government was spending billions of dollars on import of petroleum products, which could be saved by promoting alternative and renewable energy sources.
