ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by Dr Farooq Sattar held a meeting with Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Tuesday and discussed law and order situation in Sindh.
MQM leaders Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Barrister Saif and Kanwar Naveed Jamil were part of the delegation. They talked about law and order situation in Karachi.
The Interior Minister said the operation in Karachi is particularly against criminals as its aim is to make the city peaceful and free from crime.
The activities of Rangers are according to rules and regulations and the aim is not to push any political party including Muttahida Qaumi Movement against the wall, he added.
He said every effort will be made to remove reservations of the political parties but it is in national interest that they all should support the Rangers.
Peace in Karachi was in national interest and common responsibility of all, he added.
