FAISALABAD: A recent rain spell have salutary impacts on crops especially wheat in the arid and other areas.
Talking to APP here on Thursday, agriculture scientist Dr Naveed Khan said the rain would be beneficial for standing crops of wheat, Barseem and fodder etc in arid and other low-lying areas.
He said arid areas had direly needed rain and the farming community was fortunate that they had received rain spells in time.
It would not only increase per acre yield in the arid areas but it would also enhance an overall wheat output in the country, he added.
