imageSUKKUR: President, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Sukkur chapter Younis Rajput and activists of PML-N Youth Sukkur have welcomed the announcement of the federal government regarding reduction in power tariff.

Rajput said that after substantial decrease in the prices of petroleum products, reduction in the price of electricity is a gift for the masses by the PML-N led government.

Speaking in a gathering here on Tuesday he said that the present government is committed to provide relief adding that the decision of Pakistan Muslim League-N government to reduce the price of electricity will provide relief to the masses of all the provinces of the country.

He said the government is also making result-oriented efforts to change the energy mix from thermal to other affordable sources including coal and hydro generation to bring down the cost of electricity production.

Rajput said that PML-N government will continue to take measures for the welfare and betterment of the people.

On the other hand PML-N Youth activists including Arif Nawaz, Saeed Ali, Riaz Ahmed and others said that service to the masses is the motto of PML-N and this process will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said a statement issued here.

They said that Pakistan will continue to make progress and the elements involved in sit-ins will not be able to hamper this process. They said that those involved in politics of protest and anarchy should know that no hurdle will be tolerated in the process of service to 18 crore people of the country.

They said that practical steps taken by the government are showing results and its benefits are cascading to the masses.
