Directorate General Intelligence and Investigation (DGI&I)-Customs, Karachi has seized huge quantity of non-duty paid foreign origin miscellaneous goods worth Rs 19.1 million.
According to official sources, the department has received credible information, which revealed that huge quantity of non-duty paid/smuggled foreign origin miscellaneous goods transported from different cities were dumped at a warehouse near custom House Karachi for onward supply in the local market.
Reacting on this information, a team of DGI&I reached the spot and made a thorough search of the premises, which resulted the recovery of huge quantity of smuggled foreign origin goods, i.e, cigarettes, sheesha flavours, tara filter, betel nuts, and fabric etc worth Rs 19.1 million.
