Pakistan has become a very significant market for Edible Oils, Oilseeds and raw material for our Soap Industry. We have seen tremendous growth in the import of Edible Oils, Oilseeds which as now touched to 3.00 million tons each per annum. This has indeed made Pakistan one of the biggest importers and command a very respectable position in the Global markets.
Keeping in view the significance of Pakistan market, the concept of Pakistan Edible Oil Conference (PEOC) was introduced in the year 2016. It has been our honor and privilege that PEOC has now become an annual feature and we will be organizing our 4th Conference consequently on 18th / 19th January 2019. PEOC have received great recognition and same has become a Global event for all our valued suppliers and importers.
This Conference is not only giving an opportunity for huge interaction between the Edible Oil, Oilseed and Soap Industry but also with reputed Global suppliers.
PEOC is the platform which is not only helping our Industry to analyze the market situations through the help of our Global Speakers but also to assess the logistical requirements keeping in view the surge in the import volume of Edible Oils and Oilseeds. In view of above, PEOC has not only become a brand for Pakistan Edible Oil and Oilseed Industry but also a Torch Bearer for all our stakeholders.
It is imperative that our Ports, Storage Installations and Road Transport are upgraded and expanded to meet the ever-growing demand of Edible Oils and Oilseeds.
Pakistan Railways need to be proactive as all over the World Railways are the most economical and efficient mode of transportation.
Similarly, our Government need to take some ownership to facilitate the export of Soya Meal / Canola Meal and Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD). We have huge potential to export these commodities if certain incentives are given by the Government.
In this respect, we would like to acknowledge the contribution of our Four Associations namely Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA), All Pakistan Solvent Extractors' Association (APSEA), Pakistan Edible Oil Refiners Association (PEORA) and Pakistan Soap Manufacturers Association (PSMA) for their valuable support.
Similarly, we also acknowledge great contribution towards PEOC by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), GAPKI, Indonesia and US Soybean Export Council (USSEC).
PEOC has been very fortunate to have renowned Global Speakers to be on their panel and the success of PEOC is very much attributed to them.
In view of above, PEOC has not only become a brand for Pakistan Edible Oil and Oilseed Industry but also a Torch Bearer for all our stakeholders.
