KHANEWAL: Health department Sunday organized a seminar to create awareness about polio disease here at Government High School Talamba.

Addressing the seminar, Medical Officer (MO) Dr Muhammad Asif said that polio disease could be controlled by administering anti-polio drops to all the kids of under five years of age. He said the health department was utilizing resources to ensure administering anti-polio drops to every kid.

He said that parents should cooperate with polio teams in order to protect their kids from the disease.

Incharge polio campaign, Safdar Hussain said that the three-day polio campaign would start from December 10. The teams would also be deputed at Railway stations, bus stands and other public places to get 100 percent results.

The seminar was attended by the officials of health departments, teachers, civil society members and a large number of students.
