Modest trade seen on grain market

Modest trade activity was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as some needy buyers were interested in fresh deals, dealers and experts said. On the cereals side, Moong Afghan gained Rs 250 to Rs 11500, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was inert at Rs 2960 while the best quality was down by Rs 10 to Rs 3000, other items held the overnight levels, they added.
On the seeds side, castor seeds Lasbela was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2300, castor seeds Sindh also shed the same amount to Rs 2200 and castor seeds Lakhra dropped by Rs 200 to Rs 2400 and cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type was fell sharply by Rs 150 to Rs 1900 and fine quality was unchanged at Rs 2100, they said. Prices were unmoved on the grams side, dealers said.
