RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Monday having 47671.80 points with a negative change of 1855.12 and volume of 62,636,270 shares.

High and Low were 49526.92 and 47538.17 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 219,367,440 shares with 383 total traded companies out of which 32 were up 339 were down and 12 were unchanged.

CEMENT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 39,902,300 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 36,537,600 shares.

The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 1585.00 (49.10), Tandlianwala Sugar with price per share of 179.00 (8.00) and Colgate Palmolive share of 2306.00 (5.99).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 1900.00 (100.00) Mari Petroleum with price per share of 1620.55 (78.26) and Wyeth Pak LtdXD share of 2150.00 (75.00).
