SANTO DOMINGO: US Secretary of State John Kerry called on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's government Tuesday to free "political prisoners" and address the severe food shortages racking the country.
Addressing what he called the "deeply troubling situation in Venezuela" at Organization of American States' general assembly in the Dominican Republic, Kerry urged Maduro's government to "release all political prisoners, respect freedom of expression and alleviate the shortage of food."
