imageQUETTA: The work on 2250 development schemes in Balochistan was underway including 1310 new ones and 940 ongoing schemes which would put the province on track of development.

This was stated by spokesman for the Balochistan government who along with Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Development), Nasibullah Khan Bazai was addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.

They said PC-1 of 926 development schemes had been completed and work on 2250 uplift schemes including 1310 new and 940 ongoing schemes was underway."

They said that the Balochistan cabinet meeting was held which reviewed law and order, development schemes and other important matters.

"The Balochistan cabinet expressed its satisfaction over the law and order development as it was told by the officials concerned that the crime rate of kidnapping for ransom had been decreased by 99 percent and bike and vehicle snatching by 97 percent which was great achievement," they said.

They said that adequate funds have been allocated to carryout record development works in the province.

They said that Quetta city needed 36 million gallons of water while the availability was 27 million adding that four dams including Mangi dams would be constructed which would help cater need of the water.

They said that people of Quetta proud of young scientist, Imran Khan who belonged to Quetta and participated in eight-member scientist team which proved the legend scientist, Albert Einstein's gravitational waves story true.

They said that Imran Khan would be invited at Chief Minister Secretariat. In replying to a question, they said that inquiry into suicide of female student, Saqiba Kakar was underway.
