imageLAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Monday accused PTI leaderhip of destroying Pakistan's economy through protests and strike calls.

In a statement issued here, he said, sit-ins were started at the time when Pakistan Army was engaged in carrying out an operation against militants, however, the politics of violence was harmful for the rapid development of the country.

He said, "by holding repeated protests, what goal Imran Khan wanted to achieve."

The Chief Minister vowed to protect lives and property of citizens as his first priority.
