ISLAMABAD: Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Saturday urged the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) to establish Pakistan Sweet Homes (PSHs) in Balochistan province.
Addressing the 'Sports Carnival' of PSH, he said he was happy being among the little angels. These orphans could work for the country's peace and prosperity, if groomed in a proper environment as provided to normal children in the society, he added.
He said the government would not leave any stone unturned for the better future of children living at Sweet Homes.
The minister lauded former PBM Managing Director Zamurrad Khan for establishing Sweet Homes for shelterless children.
Speaking on the occasion, Zamrrud Khan said the majority of children living in Sweet Homes, hailed from Balochistan.
He said more Sweet Homes should be built throughout the country, including Balochistan.
PBM Managing Director Barrister Abid Waheed Shaikh said after taking charge, he had opened two new Sweet Homes, while three were in the pipeline, one in Skardu and other at Attock. Another one would be set up in Islamabad in near future.
He urged the government along with national and international donors to sponsor more and more children for making the project successful.
