ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Siddiqul Farooq has said that all political forces and even civil society are on the same page with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding Pak-US relations.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that "I witnessed Prime Minister making serious preparations and holding detailed discussions with the concerned officials for getting briefings on different issues before going to US".
To a question,he said that US President shold respond to Pakistan's demand to halt drone strikes because these were counter productive.He said the UN Secretary General declared it as illegal and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also condemned drone strikes in his address to the parliament.
He said US must also give a leading role to Pakistan in Afghanistan as it had been a front line ally in the international campaign on terrorism.
He said that US had sent a political message to Pakistan by restoring its financial aid.
