imageANKARA: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday called for an urgent UN Security Council meeting over Egypt's bloody crackdown on supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi, which has left hundreds dead.

"The Security Council of the United Nations should convene quickly to discuss the situation in Egypt," Erdogan told reporters in Ankara, describing the killings as a "very serious massacre".
